Behn Basketball Camp is coming to Babson College for April school vacation. This three day clinic is a well organized, efficient program for the development of individual skills and team play. Keep your game and your body in shape over spring break!

The largest and most successful basketball camp in New England, Behn Basketball has grown throughout Eastern Massachusetts for the past 30 years with a reputation of excellent teaching focused on fundamentals. Our experienced coaches create an intense yet comfortable atmosphere that encourages learning and development. The goal is for each player to leave camp with improved skills, increased confidence, and acquired knowledge on how to practice and succeed. And of course we have fun too!

The Webster Center at Babson College houses the indoor athletic facilities at Babson. These include the 650-seat Staake Gymnasium, Morse Swimming Center, PepsiCo Pavilion, Lunder Fitness Center, Chandor Dance Studio, an indoor track, four squash courts, a racquetball court, varsity weight room, and athletic administration offices.

Camp Director

Sarah Behn

Sarah Behn is back at camp! She founded this program back in 1994 and there have been over 35,000 successful graduates since Sarah started her first two week camp programs. Now a Hall of Famer, we feel so lucky to have her back!

Growing up in Foxboro, Sarah Behn was an All-America selection in basketball and soccer out of Foxboro High.  In 1989, she set the Massachusetts state scoring record and scored a total of 2,562 points for her High School career.  Sarah is still in the top ten scorers in the state of Massachusetts history for boys and girls. Sarah was named the Gatorade Player of the Year as a senior.

At Boston College, Sarah was the first BC woman in school history to surpass the 2,000 point plateau.  She set a Big East freshman scoring record (428 points) and was the league's "Rookie of the Year."  Sarah was the first Boston College player ever to earn All-America honors as a freshman.  Sarah is the only four-time All-America basketball player in Boston College history.

As a senior at BC, Sarah became the Women's basketball all-time leading scorer in the Big East, men or women (2,523 career points).
Sarah was inducted into the Boston College Athletic Hall of Fame in 1998.  In 2003, Boston College retired Sarah's jersey, the only female athlete at Boston College to have her jersey retired.  Sarah has been Named One of Top Ten Athletes in BC History by Sports Illustrated.

After Boston College, Sarah went on to play professional basketball in Ettlebruck, Luxembourg, where she was the leading scorer in central Europe with 35 points per game.
After retiring from her playing career, Sarah founded Behn Basketball Camp. In addition to running the camps, Sarah has been a college coach at the Division I, II, and III levels as well as varsity coach at Foxboro High School.

Check-in: Tuesday morning 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM. Any outstanding medical forms are due at this time.

Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 9:00 A.M. – 12:00 noon.

What to Bring: Campers should wear comfortable clothing (shorts & a T-shirt), socks, and sneakers. You should bring a water bottle.

Coed:  This camp is for girls and boys.  Competition will be separated by age and ability.

Sample Daily Schedule

  • 9:00-9:15 Roll Call and Warm Up
  • 9:15-9:30 Agility Stations: 3 at 3 minutes
  • 9:30-9:45 Skill Stations: 3 at 5 minutes (ball handling, lay-ups, shooting)
  • 9:45-10:00 Defense Principles (shell drill, stance and sliding)
  • 10:00-10:15 Full Court Drills: 2 minute dill by team and 3 v 2, 2 v 1
  • 10:15-10:30 Break
  • 10:30-10:45 One on One Tourney: 5 dribble per offensive turn, one point for baskets, one point for steals, one point for offensive rebounds
  • 10:45-11:00 Defensive Boxing Out and Rebounding
  • 11:00-11:20 Positional Drills Stations: 10 minute offense and 10 minute defense
  • 11:20-11:30 Steal the Bacon
  • 11:30-11:40 Free Throw Tourney
  • 11:40-11:50 Dribble Knock-Out
  • 11:50-11:55 Conditioning
  • 11:55-Noon Quiz for prizes and dismissal
