Dear Camper,

You are enrolled at the 12th annual Sarah Behn Basketball Camp being held at Wheaton College as a commuter. The dates of the camp are Sunday, July 31 through Friday, August 5th. My staff and I are extremely excited to meet you and to coach you throughout the week. You will need the following items to ensure a comfortable week of camp:

Athletic Equipment: tee-shirts, socks, (above sneakers to prevent blisters!) shorts, basketball sneakers, etc.

Other: Swimsuit, towels, cosmetics, and spending money. For your protection, we recommend that you bring your own sunscreen and that you administer it at least two times daily

Emergency Telephone Numbers: There are only a few accessible pay phones on campus so the girls will not get a chance to call home often. This is ok ! However, if you need to reach your daughter, my direct number and the Directors number will be given out at registration. In case of an emergency, you may reach us on the camp cell phone: (508) 941-4775.

Each commuter camper will enjoy three hearty meals per day, which are catered by Marriott Corp. Please arrive each day by 7:30 if you wish to join in for breakfast. If you will arrive after breakfast, you will report to the designated commuter meeting room where you will be able to secure your personal belongings and meet with your Director. Soda, bottled water, Gatorade, pizza, and other snacks will be on sale at "down times" daily at the canteen. Sarah Behn Camp shorts, sweatshirts, and other items will also be sold at the canteen.

In order to avoid the handling of money during camp, there is a camp bank account established for each camper. Students will deposit a reasonable amount ($75.00 seems to be the norm) on Sunday and purchase what they wish during the week. Our canteen employees will keep a running balance. Balances will be returned to each camper at the gym on Friday morning.

When you arrive on campus, there will be signs directing you to the appropriate area to park. You will check in at the registration area in the Haas Field House (which will be clearly marked) at 4:30 on Sunday, July 31st to meet with your Commuter Director. If you will not be able to register at this time, please notify the camp office prior to the start of camp. Any outstanding balance is due at this time. If you have not submitted a copy of your most recent physical exam and immunization chart, and medical release form, it is also due at this time. Campers will not be allowed to participate unless all forms have been received.

Campers will play three games per day usually at 11:00 am, 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm, but game times are subject to change. Please call in advance to verify game times and locations. There will be a "Talent Show" on Tuesday evening so you may want to pack materials for this if you are planning to attend. We are also planning an ice cream social and a pizza social. There will be an Awards Ceremony for all campers and families at about 10:45am on Friday, Aug. 5th. Please remove all personal items from the commuter room by 12:00 noon on Friday, August 5th.

See You Soon!

Sarah
