ABOUT SARAH BEHN BASKETBALL CAMPS

Our philosophy is to instill confidence in young girls by teaching basketball fundamentals, which in turn will raise their individual level of play and make the game more fun to play. The fundamentals include:

  • Shooting Technique
  • Rebounding
  • Passing
  • Ball Handling
  • Dribbling with Both Hands
  • Individual Defense
  • Team Offense
  • Man to Man Defense
  • Team Defense
  • Zone Defense

Check-in
Check-in for day camp is on Monday morning of the week camp starts from 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM. Any outstanding balances or medical forms are due at this time.

Check in for overnight camp is on Sunday of the week camp starts from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Check-in is scheduled alphabetically by last name. A letter will be sent home with more specific information on what time your camper should check in.

Hours
Our Day Camps run from 9:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. The Day Camp at The Governor's Academy in Byfield runs Monday through Thursday 9:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. and Friday from 9:00 A.M. - Noon.

Camp Store
Each camp has a camp store. We sell beverages, snacks, and pizza at lunch time. We also sell Behn Camp clothing.

Staff
We have a very energetic and dedicated staff. Our staff includes college coaches, high school coaches, and college players.

Final Payment
Final payment is due on or before June 15th. The Medical Release form and health form must be submiited prior to your daughter starting camp.

What to Bring to Day Camp
Campers should wear comfortable clothing (shorts & a T-shirt), socks, and sneakers. You may bring a water bottle and a bagged lunch, or you may buy pizza at our camp store. The Wellesley Camp and the Byfield Camp provide lunch.

What to Bring to Overnight Camp
Athletic Equipment: Tee shirts, socks, (above the ankle to prevent blisters!) shorts, basketball sneakers, etc.

Other:  swimsuit (Wheaton only), sheets, blanket or sleeping bag, pillow, towels, toiletries, and spending money. Also, stationary, board games and journals are recommended to help alleviate homesickness. For your protection, we recommend that you bring your own sunscreen and that you administer it at least two times daily.   (Radios and fans are allowed-air conditioners are not allowed).
